VC10 - XV101 stage 1 Conway fan blade

Stage 1 Conway blade last fitted to XV101 before being recycled. XV101's first flight was on 11/01/1967 before being delivered to 10sqn on the 31/01/1967. It received the name Lanoe Hawker VC in a ceremony held at RAF Brize Norton on the 11/11/1968. It flew in many flypasts across the country and was the first C1 to be converted to a C1K in June of 1992. It transferred to 101sqn in October of 2005 and was given the tail letter S. It was withdrawn from service on the 20/12/2011 where it flew into Bruntingthorpe. It was later recycled in 2012.
